About Me

Hey there, I’m Brittany Stager, and I’m so glad you’ve found your way to Home Lovely Mag. Whether you’re here for styling inspiration, DIY home projects, organization hacks, or just looking for a little piece of calm in your busy life, I’m thrilled you’re here.

My home might not look like a magazine cover every single day (okay, most days it doesn’t!), but it’s filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of intentional coziness. And that’s exactly what Home Lovely Mag is all about.

The Story Behind Home Lovely Mag
A few years ago, I found myself standing in my living room, surrounded by half-finished projects, mismatched furniture, and a deep longing to create a space that felt like me. I was tired of scrolling through perfectly curated home accounts that made me feel like I was doing everything wrong. I wanted a home that was beautiful AND livable. Styled AND comfortable. Instagram-worthy AND real.

That’s when something clicked. I realized I wasn’t alone in this feeling. So many women were craving the same thing—a home that felt lovely without losing the ability to actually live in it.

I started taking photos. Writing down ideas. Sharing small wins and honest struggles. And Home Lovely Mag was born from that simple desire: to show that creating a beautiful home doesn’t require a perfect life—just a little creativity, intention, and a whole lot of heart.
What You'll Find Here

Home Lovely Mag is a collection of everything that makes a house feel like home:

Home Decor & Styling: Room makeovers, seasonal updates, color palettes that work, and the art of making your space feel intentional without overthinking it.

DIY & Organization: Practical projects that actually fit into a real life, smart storage solutions, and ways to declutter without guilt.

Design Inspiration: Scandinavian minimalism meets cozy farmhouse. Clean lines mixed with warm textures. The aesthetic that says, “My home is beautiful because it reflects who I am.”

Real Talk: The honest moments between the pretty photos. Mistakes I’ve made, lessons learned, and the messy middle of creating a space you love.

Seasonal & Holiday Ideas: How to refresh your home with the seasons, decorate for the holidays, and keep things feeling fresh throughout the year.

Creative Spaces: Whether it’s a corner office, a reading nook, or a kitchen that actually functions for cooking—how to design spaces that work and look lovely.

The Philosophy Behind Home Lovely Mag
I believe your home should tell your story. It should be a reflection of what matters to you—not what matters to anyone else. Maybe you love minimalism. Maybe you’re drawn to vintage treasures and layered textures. Maybe it’s a mix of everything. Whatever it is, that’s exactly right.

I also believe that a beautiful home doesn’t have to be perfect. The best spaces are the ones where life actually happens. Where there are throw blankets for cozy movie nights, where dishes sit in the sink while you’re sipping coffee with a friend, where a child’s artwork can be displayed with pride right next to your favorite art print.

Home Lovely Mag exists to help you create that space—the one that makes you exhale the moment you walk through the door.
Why I Do This
When I started this blog, I needed an outlet. A place to share the joy of transforming spaces, the excitement of finding the perfect piece, and yes, the frustration of projects that don’t go as planned.

But what kept me going was connection. Readers started reaching out. They shared photos of their homes. They told me which project inspired them. They celebrated their wins with me and asked for advice on their challenges.

That’s when I knew: Home Lovely Mag wasn’t just my project anymore. It was a community—a space where we could all figure out this whole “creating a beautiful home” thing together.
